Skaggs Island
This area is rife with raptors, both resident and migratory. Join San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge staff member Melisa Amato and birder extraordinaire Larry Broderick for a raptor walk and tour of Skaggs Island. Learn about the history of the island along with plans to restore it to marsh as we scan the sky for the abundant displays of birds of prey above. We will drive to various locations on the 4,400-acre island, taking walks at scenic locations.
Level 2- Mostly flat trails
